The Vail Resorts Finance Team is committed to Building Leaders and Driving Value!  The recently created Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in our corporate headquarters supports a growing company of 37 resorts, 55,000+ employees and a market capitalization of over $12 billion. The Senior Manager, FP&A Analytics will use analytical capabilities to inform decision making for the Ski School and Food & Beverage lines of business. This team member will be responsible for performing analysis including; benchmarking and trending to develop business insights, provide business decision support and inform budgeting / forecasting processes. Additionally, the Senior Manager – FP&A Analytics will partner with the Marketing team to ensure go-to-market strategies and strategic initiatives are reflected in the business outlook and tracked in actual performance.


The Senior Manager will have the opportunity to analyze broader enterprise issues arising across our various lines of business and have a significant impact on decision making. They will use financial acumen, strategic synthesis and data-driven insights to advise senior executives and will gain great perspective on key business drivers, while working on some of our most interesting and challenging business questions.



  • Deliver data-driven financial analytics through specialization and domain expertise.
  • Combine deep analytical and business knowledge to develop an enterprise-level perspective on business performance and trends.

  • Develop strong working partnerships with FP&A and Marketing analytics teams to ensure collaboration for delivering financial insights informed by the best data available across the company.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, graduate finance degree and/or CFA strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years’ experience in financial planning and analysis, with demonstrated success in managing analytical talent, financial modeling, and analysis.
  • Experience in development of complex models and data analytics.
  • Outstanding analytical skills with ability to synthesize information develop insights and communicate effectively in presentations and in-person meetings.
  • Deep curiosity and passion for understanding and analyzing financial results in the context of creating shareholder value.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to develop the “story” and form recommendations.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with strong initiative and ability to multi-task.
  • Superb attention to detail balanced by ability to focus on the "big picture."
  • Effectively manage and build capabilities and culture for high performing professional team.

The budgeted range starts at $100,000 - $120,000 + annual bonus.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
