Job Summary
The Senior HR Business Bartner (HRBP) is responsible the people strategy that elevates the employee experience to drive growth and profitability at Vail Resorts. The Sr HRBP will focus on collaborating with leaders to drive the business strategy, utilizing talent insights and organization data to drive business outcomes, engaging the HR COEs to drive strategic business initiatives that solve the most important business challenges and creating leverage as we solve for local or regional problems in an enterprise-wide, scalable manner. The Sr HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its strategy, culture, talent and competition. Job Responsibilities
- Develops organization strategy to enable business strategy, including strategic planning, organization alignment assessment, talent insights and employee experience.
- Leads transformation efforts, including change management, process improvement, org design and capability development
- Leverage our talent philosophy to ensure robust succession plans, build individual, team and enterprise performance management and manage workforce planning efforts.
- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR COEs and with business leaders to develop people and organization solutions, programs, and policies.
- Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Coach and consult with leaders to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of Vail Resorts policies, code of ethics, mission, vision and values.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred; SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR a plus
- Minimum 5 years HR experience with 2 year’s high level HR business partner experience and or Human Capital Consulting experience
- Thorough knowledge of human resources practices, procedures and laws & regulations
- Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment in decision-making
- Ability to closely partner with managers to obtain successful outcomes and move the business forward
- Ability to lead with a consultative approach, and provide guidance and advice when needed
- 3 years supervisory experience, strong coaching skills
- Experience with change management and organization transformation a plus
- Knowledge of Vail Resorts and/or hospitality industry a plus
