Job Summary:

Vail Resorts is hiring a Senior Digital Product Analyst, Channel Analytics. The goal of the Senior Digital Product Analyst is to enable and empower stakeholders to understand our digital data effectively, and ultimately to use that data to impact meaningful business optimizations to improve our guest’s experience on our websites and app.

 

This role will report to the Director of Channel Analytics and works in tandem with the Go-To-Market analytics support teams, but their main stakeholder will be members of the Digital Experience team.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Digital A/B and Test & Learn teams to support our digital testing program
    • Be a partner in the full end-to-end testing program, including test ideation, research, reporting, and post-test analysis
    • Maintain and enhance self-serve dashboards for these teams
    • Be the expert in digital data, hosting office hours or training sessions where relevant
    • Ensure relevant Go-To-Market teams are informed as results may impact or influence campaign strategy
  • Work closely with Digital Product Owners to support measurement and analysis on capital projects / product features
    • Be a partner throughout the process, from collecting business requirements to dashboard building to deep-dive analyses on web or app features as they launch
    • Maintain and enhance self-serve dashboards for these teams
    • Be the expert in digital data, hosting office hours or training sessions where relevant
  • Co-own the Adobe Analytics platform with the Director of Channel Analytics, from data enhancements to data governance
    • Data Enhancements
      • Participate in development/sprinting process that IT/Digital Experience runs (grooming, sizing, user acceptance testing) for digital data enhancements and pixel implementation
      • Own taxonomy approvals for data enhancements to the platform to ensure standard tracking requirements are upheld to enable efficient and standard analyses. This may involve consulting on coding or tracking methodologies to collect data
      • Building and maintaining enterprise-wise segments within Adobe Analytics
    • Data Governance
      • Own the solution documentation for all analytics tracking in partnership with IT. This includes (but not limited to) maintaining:
        • Data documentation/definitions on our enterprise governance tool (Collibra)
        • An archive of analyses in order to leverage prior results to support future recommendations
        • An implementation and bug log
      • Communicating key data changes to stakeholders
      • If issues arise (e.g. tagging appears to be missing), be a point person to investigate and debug


Finally, while this person mainly supports the Digital Experience team, they are still very much a part of the Channel Analytics team and a key person in pushing the team roadmap forward. Thus, this person will still be expected to:

 

  • Adhere to Channel Analytics’ project management process of leveraging an intake form and Jira to prioritize projects
  • Collaborate with Channel Analytics and Digital Experience to determine best-in-class measurement for digital data and what success KPIs the organization should use
  • Participate in existing omni-channel meetings to discuss overall trends and key insights where relevant
  • Work closely with the Reporting & Data Enablement team to stand up reporting automation opportunities
  • Partner in strategic initiatives to evolve the data maturity of Vail Resorts. This includes (but not limited to) re-imagining a website implementation for current use cases and scalability, collaborating on projects to support Vail Resorts as we head into a privacy-first world, and potentially revamping our app analytics.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Marketing, Analytics, Business, Technology, Accounting, Finance, Economics, and Mathematics) preferred
  • 3-5 years prior digital/website/app analytics experience required. This includes understanding of website tagging, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Content Management Systems, comfortability using Dev Tools, and reading network requests
  • Experience with 1 or more analytics tools/software (including but not limited to Adobe Analytics / Google Analytics / Adobe Target) required
  • Strong organizational and self-service project management skills are essential. Must be able handle multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate across multiple functions / brands / product lines within the company
  • Demonstrated success reporting out on KPIs with respects to very large data sets from multiple web domains, developing reporting for streamlined analysis and creating reports that succinctly summarize complex concepts
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization; comfortable presenting to and communicating detailed analysis with senior leadership
  • Natural curiosity in digital marketing and analytical approaches to solving problems
  • Highly collaborative approach and open communication style.

 

The budgeted range starts at $73,000 - $88,950 + annual bonus.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
