As a member of the Homeowner Accounting staff, you will manage accurate accounts for  homeowners of Vail Resorts managed  properties. Respond promptly and accurately to homeowner questions. Coordinate with property managers to make sure accounts are accuate and appropriate procedures are followed.

 

General Description:

  • Work with Association Staff to enter and maintain budgets for over 100 associations
  • Contribute to department initiatives such as the elimination of prefunding, in order to support and put in place appropriate infrastructure prior to implementation
  • Assist in owner support through the processes of billing, maintenance of the owner portal, and accurate revenue & expense postings to owner accounts
  • Preparation and review of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure transactional accuracy and compliance
  • Demonstrate a positive, professional and team attitude toward coworkers, internal and external customers, and management

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Post expense and revenue corrections 
  • Close month and distribute statements
  • Manage Association agings and delinquent accounts procedures
  • Enter general ledger journals
  • Reconcile  balance sheet  accounts 
  • Collect appropriate withholding taxes for foreign owners
  • Association dues posting
  • Report financial status to title companies at sale of property
  • Create new and purge old owner records
  • Extensive customer service
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in business, accounting or related discipline - preferred
  • Strong attention to detail; highly organized
  • Strong customer service orientation and experience, with excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and Peoplesoft Financials - preferred
  • Two years accounting experience - preferred
  • Vail Resorts lodging, reservations, or guest service experience - Preferred
