Job Summary

The Channel Analytics team is responsible for: using a data-driven approach to inform marketing decisions, ensuring testing excellence, and maximizing channel effectiveness across the organization. Channel Insights assesses the performance of RM, Media, Digital, Social, Direct Mail and AI marketing efforts in order to provide actionable insights and reporting that inform marketing decisions across both channel and business teams. Test & Learn leverages data and prior test performance to partner with Analytics and Marketing teams to effectively test and measure impact of personalization and optimization improvements across RM, Media, Digital, Social, Direct Mail, and AI-driven marketing channels.The primary purpose of the Product Owner, Channel Analytics position will be to support our Channel Analytics platforms, through routine maintenance releases as well as high visibility projects / initiatives. This role will be responsible for the following functions: outlining / aligning on overall Channel Analytics requirements with IT, providing User Acceptance Testing and demonstrations of functioning code through all stages of the release to production, and validating live data during go live periods with specific launch based reporting. Your support of other teams include: ensuring recurring tracking requirements are created correctly and in a timely manner,  developing new approaches for more effective analysis through creative ways to code our enterprise Analytics variables, and producing detailed ad-hoc analysis as required by the business leaders based on tracking deliverables and project assumptions,. You will coordinate with the Channel Analytics, IT, RM, Media, Data Governance, & Data Engineering teams to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and to ensure data outputs for reporting are created in the most standardized, consistent, and automated manner possible. 


Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure Analytics coding, processes, tools, and documentation are in place to support efficient and consistent analysis across the team between multiple channels and backend systems. Standardize tracking requirements for addressing common questions and ensure that consistent approaches are utilized.
  • Continuously align on tracking requirements specifically with a focus on “what are the insights we will learn” based on the way we code our Channel Analytics platform.
  • Continuously test & validate requirements for analytics code throughout multiple environments and product releases while managing multiple code branches and simultaneous versions.
  • Create new variables & KPIs to measure specific channel and enterprise performance on our websites. Provide guidance on deprecation of older analytics tracking when applicable.
  • Partner with the Channel Analytics & IT teams to provide requirements interpretation / translation in order to make effective coding decisions across our enterprise platform.
  • Analyze and organize copious amounts of individual channel data available to the business. Inspect, clean, understand and transform data while keeping the big picture of the business model in mind. Analyze with focus and purpose to transform quality data into an asset.
  • Own the individual solution documentation for all analytics tracking in partnership with IT.  Maintain an archive of analyses in order to leverage prior results to make recommendations to marketing leadership.
    Populate and maintain an accessible solution design document, and archive of past analyses to facilitate trended results of performance, and improved quality of future analysis. Leverage prior learnings to make recommendations on strategy to marketing leadership.
  • Develop approaches, templates and tools that ensure a consistent approach in all analysis whether ad-hoc or recurrent.
  • Create and distribute post launch reporting that evaluate our Digital site effectiveness and e-commerce performance based on maintenance updates and project deliverables.


Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Marketing, Analytics, Business, Technology, Accounting, Finance, Economics, and Mathematics)
  • 2-4 years prior Digital Analytics code management, or App Analytics experience.
  • Developed knowledge of multiple Adobe systems and tagging (Adobe Target / Adobe Audience Manager / Adobe Campaign) required.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills are essential. Must be able handle multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate across multiple functions within an organization.
  • Forward thinker with excellent teamwork, communication, analytical, organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success reporting out on KPIs with respects to very large data sets from multiple web domains, developing reporting for streamlined analysis and creating reports that succinctly summarize complex concepts.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, adjusting message to audience.
  • Knowledgeable of digital tagging constructs including Adobe Analytics and / or Google Analytics.
  • Highly collaborative approach and open communication style.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects / stakeholders at once and keep multiple projects moving forward at all times.


  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems, HTML or JavaScript coding a plus
  • Hospitality or travel industry experience helpful but not required


The budgeted range starts at $50,000 - $90,000.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
