Reporting to the Director of Procure to Pay, Advancement & Analytics, the Procurement Analytics Senior Analyst will be responsible for advancing our analytical capabilities to elicit new insights and glean untapped opportunities to drive value to the enterprise, including impacting enterprise margins. The individual will support data analysis, insight generation and reporting across the source to pay function.

 

Specifically, he/she will be expected to facilitate and maintain the integrity of Procurement data assets and seek opportunities for compiling new datasets and reporting opportunities. Other responsibilities include collaborating with Sourcing, Procurement Operations, Accounts Payable and key business partners to identify areas of opportunity for report development and curation along while providing analytical expertise in driving efficiencies and solving complex problems.

 

Applicants should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, possess analytical and problem-solving skills and will have demonstrated learning agility. The individual should have a demonstrated ability to quickly build subject matter expertise and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. Preferred candidates will have demonstrated the ability to persevere through ambiguity; an innate inquisitiveness; possess the drive to extend analytical capabilities; and have demonstrated emergent leadership capabilities.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Comfort working with large data sets preferably using Alteryx or SQL.
  • Maintain integrity of ETL workflows and reporting dashboards (Tableau), always ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data assets
  • Perform data analyses using advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. formulas, pivot tables, scenario modeling)
  • Distilling insights and crafting compelling recommendations through analyses and data visualization
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders to understand analytics needs; collect data for analysis/ reporting; and advise on analytical approach to answering questions and solving problems
  • Comfortable acting with autonomy under ambiguous circumstances – especially with regards to being out-front of issues and proactively aligning with stakeholders on remediation action plans
  • Where appropriate, escalate questions and issues to the functional leadership team along with recommendations for mitigating actions
  • B.A. or B.S. in Information Systems, Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Statistics, or related field; relevant work experience also accepted in lieu of education requirements.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel; proficient in manipulating data in SQL or Alteryx and building reports in Tableau
  • Analytical skills, problem solving skills, and strong verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast paced environment

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to seek and recommend process, program and system improvements aligned to strategic objectives; including identifying opportunities to improve training, content, and compliance definition and reporting
  • Ability to assist in creating business cases, including ROI modeling, for new capabilities (e.g. systems, licenses) and data assets
  • Developing, managing business intelligence (BI) environments using Microsoft SQL Server or other DBMS
  • Analyzing data or constructing data workflows using open source programming languages such as Python or R

 

The budgeted range starts at $73,000 - $88,950 + annual bonus.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
