The Strategic Analytics Senior Analyst will be responsible for supporting the creation of a new analytics team dedicated to driving New Guest (prospect) acquisition across Vail Resorts.  The role will be involved in every step of the analytic process – identifying the highest-impact questions to address, designing and executing high-quality analyses, and partnering with key stakeholders across the business to translate the resulting insights into detailed execution plans.  This is a unique opportunity to have immediate impact on a key driver of business performance across all Vail Resorts lines of business.  This high visibility role requires a strong analytic mindset, finely tuned relationship development skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit.  The ideal candidate will not only analyze large amounts of data to develop strategic insights and actionable recommendations; they will also condense those findings into a concise and meaningful story which they clearly communicate to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  •  [Strategy Development] Work with leadership to define the strategic priorities for New Guest acquisition.  This includes identifying key areas of opportunity across the business as well as creating processes and milestones to ensure a successful launch of the new Guest Acquisition team.
  •  [Analysis & Reporting] Manage the creation, development, and distribution of standardized reporting related to new guest acquisition.  Generate in-depth analysis to formulate insights based on identified customer motivators, behavioral drivers, and marketing programs impacting customer decision making.
  •  [Project coordination] Partner with various teams and functions to design Test & Learn opportunities, while defining appropriate benchmarks and measures of success.
  •  [Presentation] Communicate conclusions, implications, and recommendations of analyses in a clear, concise fashion to stakeholders to drive more effective marketing decisions.
  •  [Prioritization] Prioritize projects to balance the support of broad initiatives, recurrent reporting and proactive analysis with the direct requests of the marketing team.  Evaluate the potential impact of analysis and effectively manage timeline communication and expectations.
  •  [Standardization] Ensure processes, tools and documentation are in place to support efficient and consistent analysis.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in driving actionable recommendations and decisions based upon data-driven insights.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills are essential. Must be able handle multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate across multiple functions within an organization.
