Job Summary 

The Analyst, Reporting & Data Enablement position will be tasked with supporting the Channel Analytics group with data availability and analytical consultancy. The individual will ensure that source data is accurate and up-to-date in these third-party data platforms, along with then moving data from these environments into our cloud data warehouse for reporting purposes. The Reporting & Data Enablement team serves a critical purpose within the Vail Resorts Analytics & Insights department to set up standardized reporting data sources and support on key enterprise marketing priorities. This position – the second full-time analyst role on the team – will own critical pieces of the channel reporting data ecosystem to better connect enterprise insights. 

 

Job Responsibilities  

  • Automate the daily delivery of enterprise segmentation and transaction data into third-party data platforms (Adobe Analytics, APT, Nielsen MTA, etc.) used by the Channel Analytics team  

  • Build new processes for also bringing data from those third-party data platforms into cloud data warehouse tools for reporting purposes 

  • Build data delivery notification and assessment tools to provide confidence in these new daily process 

  • Construct standardized reporting data sources to enable for accurate and consistent insights across third-party data and enterprise-owned data 

  • Consult on reporting, data and analytical best practices with Channel Analytics partners and stakeholders 

  • Design easy-to-use dashboards to highlight the top enterprise insights from these various source systems 

  • Support remaining Reporting & Data Enablement priorities across the marketing business 

 

Job Requirements  

Required: 

  • 1-3 years’ experience working in data engineering, reporting, analytics, or related marketing field. 

  • Sufficient educational coursework in credible institution in related field of study (Business, Marketing, Technology, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or Data Science). 

  • Background in utilizing at least one of the following technical tools or skill sets: ETL development, Python, R, Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, dashboard design, etc. 

  • Strong organizational and project management skills. 

  • Highly collaborative approach and open communication style. 

Preferred: 

  • Experience in moving large data sets across source systems. 

  • Understanding of analytical tools and platforms used in Omni-Channel analysis (Adobe Analytics, APT, Google Analytics, Nielsen, etc.) 

  • Familiarity with Vail Resorts, its history, its operations, and how it generates revenue. 

 

The budgeted range starts at $55,000 - $67,400.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
