Summary of Job:


The Manager, Ski School Marketing is responsible for implementing and executing the strategy to achieve the revenue goals of the Ski School line of business across Vail Resorts.

This position will implement and manage the strategic plan to achieve volume, capture and revenue targets associated with a certain segment of guests to participate in Ski School as part of their mountain vacation, across multiple resorts / geographies.

This position will be responsible for leveraging data to inform tactics, create content, identify targeted promotions, offers and products, and deploy marketing messaging elements across multiple platforms and channels to deliver revenue goals for the Ski School line of business.


The ideal candidate must be a great communicator that is able to give and take positive feedback, as well as effectively collaborate with various stakeholders and prioritize workflows. He/she will have will have their hands in many different types of projects and be responsible for delivering results on-time in a very fast-paced environment. Flexibility and a positive attitude are crucial, as well as the ability to delegate and inspire confidence in stakeholders to deliver upon the growth objectives of the business.


Essential Job Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for implementing marketing strategies and tactics for Vail Resorts ski school – including campaign management, sub goals to achieve KPIs, with a specific focus on driving volume and revenue.
  • Oversee content creation for multiple guest-facing marketing channels and platforms across multiple resorts
  • Identify key products and promotions to influence and incent guest purchasing
  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, agency partners, sponsors, operational contributors and financial counterparts to support strategic planning and budgeting initiatives.
  • Implementing segmented, data-driven targeted marketing leveraging insights and optimizing decision trees and results within marketing automation platforms
  • Provide thoughtful analysis of marketing effectiveness in achieving marketing objectives and business-driving efforts through data-driven results and optimization.
  • Leverage insights, conduct research and gain learnings to inform segmentation strategies to drive growth.


Job Requirements:


  • 4 year college degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years marketing experience, preferably in an area delivering results for a product or Line of Business; experience working in a multi-location and matrixed environment a plus
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills required
