Job Summary

We are looking for an outstanding developer to be responsible for building, testing, and maintaining guest-facing websites and administrative tools for the Digital team at Vail Resorts. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Reporting to the UX Development Manager, this individual will leverage modern coding techniques using JavaScript, CSS, and HTML to deliver efficient and elegant experiences to our guests.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing web applications.
• Report regularly to the UX Development Manager to review code for quality.
• Work closely with business partners to understand and deliver requirements across all modern browsers for both desktop and mobile systems.
• Work with graphic designers to bring comprehensive layouts to life.
• Leverage internal content-management systems as needed to deliver dynamic content.
• Troubleshoot issues and prototype technical solutions for all supported browsers.
• Document code as needed.
• Proactively contribute to the team with an Agile mindset.

Job Requirements

• 2+ Years of experience developing and testing customer-facing websites.
• Four-year college degree, preferably with a focus in web design or computer science.
• Expert knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and modern browser capabilities.
• Firm understanding of responsive design techniques.
• Solid understanding of web frameworks like jQuery and Bootstrap.
• Familiar with source control technologies, specifically Git.
• Proficiency with design tools like Adobe Photoshop.
• Experience in planning and delivering solutions across multiple browsers and platforms.
• A passion for the ski industry.

Preferred Skills

• Solid understanding of the web application lifecycle.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft IIS and server technologies.
• Experience with OOP using Visual Studio, ASP.NET, C#, and MVC.NET.
• Knowledge of testing automation technologies.
• Strong grasp of OWASP security principles.
• Experience testing code for PCI compliance and security vulnerabilities.
• Experience with social network APIs like Facebook, Twitter, and others.
• Experience with native mobile programming for Android and iOS devices.
