The Vail Resorts Retail Fleet Analyst is responsible for the oversight and overall ownership of all VRR vehicle fleet program, which includes delivery trucks, vans, cars, trailers and forklifts. The Fleet Analyst will drew upon their in-depth knowledge and experience of all state and federal regulatory requirements for both vehicles and drivers/operators to ensure VRR is in full compliance at all times.  The Fleet Analyst will also work to maximize the value of our fleet and determine future utilization.

 

Responsibilites: 

 

  • Leverages industry best practices and previous fleet experience to improve VRR’s fleet operations and offers recommendations where needed.  
  • Takes a new perspective on our existing program to create, maintain and communicate all fleet policies and procedures.
  • May direct the work of other staff members to perform certain administrative functions related to the VRR fleet program.
  • Often works independently, with minimal guidance
  • Ensures the company's compliance to all DOT/ FMCSA in addition to any specific state requirements and internal compliance requirements (DISA).
  • Identifies gaps in current policy/procedures and establishes new policy/procedures to cover these gaps
  • Manages relationships with internal and external service providers for fleet management, vehicle purchase/disposal and governmental compliance.
  • Maintain fleet driver information which includes setting up new drivers, activation and de-activation of PIN’s in fleet management programs.
  • Analyze data from multiple sources to identify cost savings, compliance issues and provides recommendations for improvement.
  • Ability to analyze and manipulate data to present recommends to upper management.
  • Execute annual capital fleet replacement plan from start to finish.
  • Work with internal stakeholders, insurance companies and attorneys (internal and external) on accident resolution.
  • Partner with other divisions of the company to bring consistent fleet practices to VRR and other divisions.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or equilavent experience in fleet management
  • 3+ years in a fleet management/compliance role
  • Computer Proficiencies: Microsoft Office
  • English Fluency
  • Subject matter expert in DOT/FMCSA Compliance
  • Outstanding analytical skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload and competing priorities
  • Strong written, verbal and organizational skills
  • Element Fleet experience - Preferred
  • DISA driver qualificaiton experince - Preferred
  • Donlen Fleet experience - Preferred
