Financial Business Analyst/Developer:

The Finance Team is committed to Building Leaders and Driving Value.  The Finance team drives comprehensive financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to enable the Company to align its resources with the achievement of its strategic goals, both long-term and short-term.  The Corporate Finance team works closely with the CFO and business segments of the Company to ensure integrity of data governance and management practices, drive business insights, and support strategic decision making.  This position has a high degree of accountability and ownership with respect to data governance/management/systems integrity, and reports to the Senior Manager of Financial Data and Reporting.  The position supports the financial processes and reporting functionality for the Corporate Finance team and other important internal stakeholders. 

 

Essential job responsibilities include:

  • Play a key role in the assessment, design, implementation, maintenance, and extension of current and new financial planning and reporting tools/technologies/techniques to drive data integrity, operating efficiencies, and enhanced business processes to create and continuously improve centrally-driven enterprise-wide operating leverage
  • Support financial reporting, planning, and forecasting processes (i.e., daily/weekly/monthly reporting requirements, annual capital and operational budgeting, on-going forecasting) from a process and system perspective
  • Proactively partner with key stakeholders to provide business solutions that drive process improvement, and streamline financial reporting and planning processes
  • Manage all corporate finance planning/reporting systems maintenance and reporting hierarchies
  • Partner with IT business analysts to design, test, and drive necessary system changes
  • Build-out new reporting and planning functionality to increase centrally-driven operating leverage (e.g., scorecard reporting, enhanced labor reporting)
  • Lead training and documentation preparation on system functionality and reporting best practices, and be a domain-expert and consultant to finance colleagues in-line with critical business priorities

 

 Requirements:

  • 5+ years of strong experience implementing data management governance practices, and demonstrated expertise in financial systems design, data aggregation tools, and reporting/planning applications such as Anaplan/Host Analytics/Adaptive Insights/Prophix or similar planning software, along with Microsoft Visual Basic, Excel, SQL and Alteryx
  • Proven ability to successfully deliver critical financial infrastructure implementations/projects, and operationalize and deliver related reporting outputs and forecasting/planning functionality within defined specifications and service levels agreed with business stakeholders
  • Strong technical systems aptitude and understanding of key business concepts and performance metrics (financial and operational)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Data Management Systems, or related field
