Job Summary

Responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Tasks will vary from administrative support to planning divisional meetings and events. This position must be committed to completing a wide variety of tasks independently with strong attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through. This position is expected to understand the CHRO’s schedule and priorities, and support her in maximizing time and focus. In addition, the person is responsible for providing calendar scheduling support for the HR Senior Leadership Team and leverage the CHRO and Senior Leadership Team’s time and productivity through forward-thinking partnership.

Job Summary

  • Partner with the Director of HR Strategy & Planning to accomplish day-to-day business deliverables.

  • Provide support with scheduling calendars, prepare expense reports and arrange travel.
  • Plan and coordinate meetings and special events.
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in Vail Resorts’ business and the division’s specific goals.
  • Possess a level of detail and accuracy, drive for results, and have the ability to anticipate business needs before requested. Be forward-planning.
  • Provide personal support, as needed, for the CHRO.
  • Exhibit strong written and communication skills.
  • Follow and be an example setter of company policies and procedures.
  • Become a super-user with the company’s administrative systems: Concur, Coupa, MS Teams, Mountain Money and SuccessFactors.
  • Maintain a divisional “playbook” outlining important tools, contact information, and other key resource documents to assist in new employee onboarding.
  • Establish great working relationships with the CHRO’s key stakeholders including the executive committee and their assistants.
  • Create a high level of trust and confidence acting with the utmost professionalism and discretion over the phone, through written communication and in person to accomplish requests and achieve goals.
  • Maintain divisional org charts and detailed divisional employee contact spreadsheet.
  • Provide screening of incoming calls and correspondence, directing to others where appropriate.
  • Provide prompt and efficient customer service and information to guests, clients, business associates and employees.
  • Maintain comprehensive skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneNote and Teams, as well as Adobe Acrobat DC and DocuSign.
  • Support co-workers as needed to ensure a smooth and efficient work environment for all divisional leaders.


Job Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience supporting a C-Suite executive required.
  • 5+ years’ experience providing support to multiple Vice Presidents as an Administrative Assistant required.
  • Experience working for a publically-held company preferred.
  • Strong confidence skills: critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork, collaboration and leadership.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and OneNote.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Must be a progressive learner, organized, detail oriented, and professional. Ability to multi-task with shifting priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be flexible, resourceful, and demonstrate excellent time management skills.

The budgeted range starts at $67,000-$81,150.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
