The Director of Procurement position is responsible for standardizing and optimizing global processes and systems that align with overall business strategy.  Reporting directly to the VP of Procurement, this individual will oversee a team that includes procurement operations, procurement technology and data analytics. The role will be focused on driving efficiency through system optimization, spend aggregation, supplier consolidation, compliance and driving incremental value to reduce total cost of ownership. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of high performance, learning agility, drive and ambition and emotional intelligence.  Additionally, the candidate shall be highly self-motivated and have experience in successfully leading and developing world class procurement and data analytics teams.  Strong analytical and communication skills and a proven ability to build relationships with senior level stakeholders across the organization to ensure overall alignment of objectives and priorities.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

•                        Partner with key stakeholders and strategic sourcing to drive increased value across all spend categories.

•                        Build sustainable relationships with senior management within business and cross functional stakeholders.

•                        Implement supplier performance strategies and data analytics tools which enable and drive ongoing cost improvements, on time delivery, quality and service levels.

•                        Identify new opportunities to utilize technology and analytics to streamline, automate and improve Procure to Pay (P2P) processes, compliance, and cost savings.

•                        Lead team in support of improving overall capabilities in data analytics, data cleansing to ensure clear visibility and efficient use of financial and required data to drive incremental value for the company.

•                        Collaborate with IT to ensure full business alignment and optimization of overall procurement technology roadmap and strategies.

•                        Lead efforts to optimize technology tools to meet overall business objectives and track success against key performance indicators.

•                        Provide day-to-day direction direct reports and provide leadership in the training and development to enhance overall skills and competencies of the overall team.

•                        Experience of communicating procurement strategies and performance to stakeholders

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

Education:        • B.A. or B.S. in Business, Finance, Supply-Chain, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.

Work Experience:              •            10+ years relevant work experience

Supervisory Experience:    •            Minimum 7 years supervisory/leadership experience to include developing and leading a team.

•                        Strong leadership, influencing and communication skills (written and verbal) gained across a range of cultural environments

•                        Strong knowledge of procurement functionality and process flows within purchasing systems (Coupa preferred)

•                        Strong business acumen, strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

•                        Demonstrated experience in the development of data analytics to drive best procurement practices

•                        Agile learning and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment

•                        Experience working in a global procurement environment, including development and work with best in class processes, tools and procedures.

•                        Project management skills
