Summary of Job:

Vail Resorts is embarking on a Digital transformation effort, creating a Digital Platform (mobile application and corresponding mobile-responsive site) for use by Employees and their Managers in our different locations to enable them to access Vail Resorts’ various systems and information in the field.

Vail Resorts is looking for an organized, detail-oriented person with a desire to learn and provide support in a fast-paced environment that ultimately contributes and drives the Employee experience. The ideal candidate should be a tech-savvy professional who also has compliance and business experience.

The Digital Platform Sr. Analyst is responsible for supporting the implementation and continual administration of the Employee and Manager Digital Platform system.  Ongoing support of this application includes efficient management of issues and enhancements to support the Platform’s 3 main objectives:

  1. Provide access to the tools required to manage people
  2. Empower Employees and Managers to self-help, collaborate and communicate
  3. Optimize the Employee experience


Essential Duties:

Project Delivery

  • Contribute as project team member for Digital Platform implementation including:
  • Ensuring knowledge transfer from Digital Platform vendor partners
  • Recommending design on system setup
  • Understanding data integrations and helping to coordinate resolution/clean-up of data from integration systems
  • Managing testing process and go-live readiness
  • Partner with Project Team to define business requirements for new project, reporting or system enhancements
  • Manage priorities, be accountable for own work and manage expectations
  • Work autonomously, knowing when to escalate or seek support
  • Bring creative, thoughtful insight and expertise to lead a Digital Transformation
  • Familiar with Agile project methodology
  • Lead and participate in multiple projects at once
  • Communicate project status and needs accurately and timely

Technical Expertise

  • Generate and update product content and information
  • Responsible for influencing the overall look and feel of web pages; including graphics, animation, and functionality
  • Act as a main point of contact to operations departments for content management
  • Responsible for support, health, issue resolution, configuration, administration and maintenance of Digital Platform
  • Apply problem-solving techniques to achieve solutions and results
  • Support and provide ideas for continuous improvement by researching industry trends and best practices
  • Own and maintain vendor relationship
  • Collect user feedback to drive requirements and feature requests with vendor partner
  • Communicate and train users across our resorts on functionality and new feature releases
  • Understand and own vendor escalation process
  • Maintain User and Role administration
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor of Science in Information Systems or Computer Science, a similar technical discipline or comparable experience
  • 2+ years digital content management administration or similar application in an enterprise environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Project management experience
  • Must be technically knowledgeable and able to design and build applications that meet business goals and objectives
  • Knowledge of Process Flow and Data
  • Contributes to an Experience of a Lifetime for Team
  • Passion for Vail Resorts Products and Services

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of basic web technologies/Web services
  • Familiar with Data Management
  • Experience with JavaScript, XML, KML, HTML C#
  • Some familiarity with LDAP, MS Active Directory, ADFS a plus
  • Experience with photo and/or video editing software
