The Visual Merchandise Specialist will oversee and execute the merchandising strategies of its regional stores by maintaining the visual standards and operational priorities set by the Merchant team, Area Manager/Director, and the Visual Merchandise Specialist. The Visual Merchandise Specialist will drive value to the company by contributing to the profitability of our stores through effective visual displays, managing the internal store replenishment process, inventory controls, managing fixture and signing supply budgets and partnering with Loss Prevention to ensure merchandising procedures are in place to prevent injuries, theft or damage. The Visual Merchandise Specialist is responsible for training its store’s staff to provide skills in merchandising, signing and store layout that ensure a consistent brand message throughout the chain and result in increased sales.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the visual merchandising process in all stores to ensure company standards and priorities, (set by the Merchant(s), Regional Manager, Area Manager(s), Visual Merchandise Manager and, in some cases, Vendors) are achieved.
  • Responsible for overall look and feel of the region’s stores, including storefront windows, sales floor, and displays.
  • Maintain, update, and ensure that stores are adhering to the Merchandise Manual to use as an onsite reference tool and as a training resource to ensure a consistent merchandising message throughout all stores. The manual ensures merchandise is displayed in the stores to meet both the company standards and merchandising priorities set by the Merchants, Area Manager/Director and Visual Merchandise Specialist.
  • Monitor stores and conduct regular store visits with a focus on training & coaching to ensure that management and store personnel are adhering to visual standards, maximizing floor space, and maintaining consistent and effective product presentations. Execute occasional formal floor walk throughs with Regional Manger, General Manager, merchants and store ops.
  • Create standard merchandising and sales reports. Routinely interpret data with Management, Area Manager(s) and Regional Manager to develop any necessary action plans in regards to inventory management; inventory performance, stock transfers, buying quantities, merchandising displays, etc. 
  • Establish and implement plan-o-grams, where it would maximize sales and replenishment impacts, in partnership with the Merchant team.
  • Partner with Area Manager(s) and Regional Manager for fixture procurement, in store props, graphics and other special projects to impact the business and visual presentation.
  • Manage proper utilization of sign making program to ensure consistent messaging, increase sales, cut labor and materials costs, and reduce waste.
  • Any other projects as communicated or delegated by Regional Manager.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prior retail experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience with Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Windows Office Suite, Retail Ideas.
