The Golf Supervisor at Mt. Brighton is a supervisory position responsible for outside golf operations, with direct reports.  This role oversees Cart Attendants, Rangers, and Golf Pro Shop Attendants and is responsible for professionally assisting members and guests with all service requests. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for managing daily golf operations including managing tournaments, conducting lessons, and providing professional services to ensure an exceptional golf experience.
  • Maintains supply of retail soft goods, golf balls, scorecards, tees, pencils, towels, and radios.
  • Execute strategic plans to grow the golf business through golf outings, leagues, walk-in and online sales.
  • Enhance the guest experience by providing superior customer service to our customers (internal and external) at all times.  Respond to all guests in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Hire, train and schedule staff; set goals and expectations of each position; coach and discipline when needed; conduct mid-season and end-of-season evaluations; provide on-going feedback and coaching for employees to ensure success.
  • Assist in managing department financial results; create staff schedule based on current budget; know and understand department budget detail.
  • Enforce all rules and regulations governing the golf course usage.
  • Develop/oversee golf instruction, clinics, golf schools, and player development programs.
  • Responsible for cash/control procedures, managing adjustments and comps, and making deposits.
  • Create a fun and professional work experience while communicating in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Lead the setting up, stocking, organizing and cleaning of work areas with all necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age – Required
  • Must be willing to work holidays and weekends – Required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license – Required
  • Experience at a golf facility – Required
  • Knowledge and skills in golf operations, golf merchandising, and teaching the game of golf
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the position including: stand for long periods of time; bend, lift and carry heavy objects of 26-50 lbs
  • Professionalism and strong guest service skills, attention to detail and timeliness
  • Ability to work well with others while maintaining a positive attitude; must be able to work independently or in a small team to accomplish daily tasks
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form (in English)
  • High School graduation or equivalent – Preferred
