The Lift Maintenance Electrical Manager is responsible for overseeing maintenance activities of the electrical staff. This individual will plan and manage crew maintenance activities.


Additional job responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 


  • Oversees maintenance activities of the electrical staff.
  • Plans and manages crew maintenance activities.
  • Develops maintenance routines and procedures.
  • Tracks departmental spending and assists Director to maintain budget.
  • Oversees troubleshooting activities on the lift electrical systems.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance, documentation, and record keeping.
  • Ensures work place and passenger safety.
  • Responsible for adherence to Vail Resorts and Lift Maintenance Department policies.
  • Maintains electrical parts inventory.
  • Works with Mechanical Manager in developing crew schedules.
  • Oversees the AC needs of all lift equipment and lift buildings.
  • Responsible for the hiring, training, and development of all electrical personnel.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by Lift Director


Job Requirements:


  • Able to work a five-day work week (days, nights, weekends, holidays).
  • High school education or equivalent required, some college preferred.
  • Familiar with personal computers, motor control systems, and PLC's.
  • Valid Colorado driver's license preferred.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in industrial electronics and controls.
  • Minimum two years’ experience as a Supervisor.
  • English required.
  • Management skills (time, organizational, people, and communication skills)
  • Broad knowledge mechanical and electromechanincal systems.
  • Ski Lift experience preferred.
