Job Specifications:

  • Skill Level: Intermediate 
  • Starting Wage: $21
  • As of October 2022, all minimum wages will be $20 an hour.
  • Shift Availability: Full Time

 Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:

  •  Perform preventative maintenance and repair on general building elements. This includes interior and exterior surfaces and construction elements, windows, doors, furniture, and other building systems.
  • Perform daily building checks as assigned.  This includes a check of building systems (life safety, plumbing, lights, refrigeration, heat, etc.) and of the interior and exterior of the assigned properties. Completes assigned work orders.
  • Complete assigned work orders in order to address guest and departmental requests.
  • Maintain all facilities, tools and operating systems in a secure, safe and efficient working order.
  • Perform snow and ice removal tasks, salting and other public/guest safety issues.
  • Perform repair of plumbing and mechanical systems, HVAC, kitchen equipment, electrical, lighting, etc.
  • Communicate effectively to coordinate work and provide updates regarding work status – verbally and in writing.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work activities: Track time and materials, turn in appropriate paperwork, and ensure all billable time is appropriately allocated to the Property Manager.
  • Abide by all safety & environmental rules and regulations from corporate, State and Federal agencies. 
  • Complete all required training.  Follow all standard operating procedures.
  • Perform all/other duties as assigned by Managers, Maintenance Coordinator, and Director of Engineering.

 

 

 Qualifications / Requirements:

  •  Previous experience in the construction trade, and/or facilities maintenance, based on education and experience.
  • High school diploma and/or completion of a trade school or trade certificate program.
  • Experience in general carpentry, dry wall, flooring, painting, building system installations including doors & door hardware, windows, flashing, roofing, masonry, tile, refinishing.
  • Experience in computer programs including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), Building Automation Systems and controls a plus.
  • Familiarity with electronic building access systems (card, FOB, keypad), programming & troubleshooting, a plus.
  • Possess a working knowledge of plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and kitchen equipment,
  • Lead by example in safety – identify and correct safety issues and best practice acumen.
  • Good communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and deliver exceptional guest service.
  • Must be able to work a steady but flexible schedule with seasonal weekend, night, and holiday requirements.
  • Must be comfortable working outside in changing seasonal weather conditions, for short periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights, and work from ladders up to 20’, work in utility spaces.
  • Valid US Driver's License – ability to qualify to drive company utility vehicles a plus.
  • Must be able to work individually, unsupervised, as well as part of team, with a great team work ethic.
  • Job requires, frequent walking, reaching, climbing, balance, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
  • Knowledge of proper safe use of power tools, hand tools and other industry equipment.

 

 

 

 

The budgeted range starts at $21.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
