The Assistant Manager of Parking/Transportation at Breckenridge Resort is responsible for the oversight of all operations within the Parking/Transportation departments.  This includes some budget oversight, all safety training and compliance, all departmental training and staffing for winter and summer operations to ensure we are providing an "Experience Of A Lifetime" to our guests and employees.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the Base Area Sr. Manager and Base Area Director as required by providing direction, leadership and expertise to the entire Breckenridge Resort Parking and Transportation team.
  • Ensure timely hiring, training, and scheduling.   
  • Supervise performance management/evaluations of all staff.
  • Work closely with our contracted parking management team to ensure all contractual policies, guest service essentials, and company expectations are being met.
  • Receive guidance from the Base Area Ops leadership team to understand, organize, and communicate the policies and expectations with leads and front line staff.
  • Attends any/all meetings for a better understanding of the bigger picture in order to prioritize department needs, including filling in for Sr. Manager and Director as needed.
  • Help to create, manage, and share all required Microsoft and Google documents for the Parking/Transportation department.  This includes Base Area Ops Drive, Google Docs scheduling, EOS Evaluations, and all Driver Qualification files in conjuction with our third party file management company.
  • Support the vision of the department by navigating and analyzing safety policies, GX data, and personnel concerns with the goal of communicating these learnings to help the staff drive change in efficiency, safety, and guest service.
  • Communicate all department related issues to the Sr. Manager and Director in a timely fashion as well as assist to maintain departmental oversight and budget.
  • Others duties as assigned including operating heavy equipment as required.
  • Ability to assist and step in for training new employees for CDL
  • Meet with guests and employees to follow-up on complaints, incidents, and/or accidents
  • Attend occasional meetings across the resort in support of overall goal
  • Know your way around all related equipment
  • Problem resolution in a timely manner.

 

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Hold and maintain a current Colorado Class A or B license with P2 and airbrake endorsements.
  • Ability to pass Vail Resorts and DOT MVR.
  • Previous management/supervisory experience - preferred.
  • Exemplary guest service and communication skills are a must.
  • Strong knowledge of Breckenridge Resort, Vail Resorts, Town of Breckenridge, and Summit County.
  • Basic computer skills - required.
  • Experience with Guest Transportation and Parking - strongly preferred.
  • Able and willing to work a flexible schedule, as needed - required.
