Job Summary: 

 

The Assistant Revenue Manager is responsible for managing room rates and inventory through all booking channels for the Branded properties in Summit County and Grand Teton Lodge Company.  Primary responsibility will be Revenue Management oversight of the DoubleTree Breckenridge, while reporting to and supporting the Senior Revenue Manager.

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

 

  • [Optimization] Manages room authorizations, rates, and restrictions including loading rates for Group and Transient segments.
  • [Optimization] Ownership of the Reward threshold occupancy programs at the DoubleTree Breckenridge and Hyatt Place Keystone, including weekend oversight.
  • [Utilization] Serves as an inventory and restriction expert to other revenue management functions.
  • [Distribution] Ensures that the hotel(s) sales strategies are effectively translated into all distribution systems including Brand systems, Synxis, and Inntopia.
  • [Communication] Works closely with the hotel’s Revenue Teams including General Managers and leaders from Reservations, Operations, Sales, Marketing and Food and Beverage
  • [Communication] Works closely with all booking channel representatives to ensure maximum use of the channels.
  • [Shopping] Responsible for understanding competitors pricing through all booking channels.
  • [Brand] Optimizing Brand Systems to support Revenue Management standardized Reporting
  • [Distribution] Understanding of distribution, including extranets, CRO, and GDS.
  • [Sales] Strong understanding of the sales process, both group and transient.
  • [Supply and Demand] Knowledge of Revenue Management concepts, tactics, and processes.
  • [Logic] Strong deductive reasoning.
  • [Strategy] Strategic decision making and implementation
  • [Opportunity] Multiple opportunities to develop and expand career path including covering Senior Revenue Manager duties when required
  • [Opportunity] Direct exposure to reporting and management of the Grand Teton Lodge Company, Hyatt Place Keystone, and Epic Mountain Express
  • [Leadership] Manage Reservations Specialist & develop position as Reservations Department leader

 

Qualifications:                                            

 

  • Proven ability to learn and develop new systems quickly
  • Prefer strong Hilton and/or Hyatt system skills (OnQ, R&I, Opera, PRIO)
  • Proven ability to take ownership of projects and drive production through completion
  • Detail oriented self-starter driven by curiosity
  • Drive and curiosity to continually innovate tools and systems
  • Proven track record of learning agility
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work successfully in a strong team environment
  • Intermediate Excel required
  • Minimum two years in hospitality revenue management, or related role
  • College degree in finance, economics, business, hospitality, revenue management, accounting or similar, or equivalent experience
