Job Summary: 

Vail Resorts’ Food and Beverage (F&B) Organization is comprised of over 300 different restaurants that share a commitment to bringing excellence to mountain dining as part of the overall ski experience. We believe that F&B leaders should possess a strong working knowledge of the front and back of house supported by best-in-class central programs, training and support. As such, our in-resort Senior Manager level F&B leaders are responsible for the management and leadership of multiple high-volume operations. Additionally, multi-restaurant managers lead one of three disciplines –culinary, beverage or events – for the resort, participating in enterprise groups and projects. The Senior Manager is also responsible for creating an Experience of a Lifetime for our employees, so they can, in turn, provide exceptional experiences for our guests.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple food and beverage outlets - oversee several restaurants operations focused on small concepts and casual high volume operations at Beaver Creek resort.
  • Oversee Restaurant Operations
    • Manage a budget of up to $4M (two medium-sized, one large restaurant).
    • Lead and manage capital project requests and the completion of such requests across multiple levels of the business.
    • Accurately conduct and review daily reports and safety audits. 
    • Support day-to-day operations for restaurants in the absence of General Manager.
    • Oversee ordering/receiving, cost transfers, variance reports and inventory control for all food, beverages, supplies, etc.
    • Investigate and resolve guest complaints in conjunction with restaurant leadership team
    • Supervise floor during peak times.
    • Act as the super user for all systems related to the F&B team including Delphi, IG billing, procurement systems, health & safety and HR systems.
    • Be responsible for payroll exceptions, approvals, and labor distribution reports across multiple F&B outlets.
  • Develop Talent –
    • Build and develop a talented team that is aligned with resort goals and culture and can deliver to established operational standards.
    • Provide next level leadership and development for managers throughout the division.
    • Empower, develop, appraise, and create the best atmosphere for employees to be and do their best.  
  • Stay Connected –
    • Develop relationships with key business partners and other functional groups.
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure a smooth operation.
    • Ensure that operation fully supports initiatives with corporate strategic partners by giving outstanding representation to their product. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or Culinary preferred
  • At least 7 years restaurant experience
  • At least 5 years of experience managing people
  • TIPS certification required within 30 days of employment
  • Serve Safe Food Protection Manager certification required within 30 days of employment
  • English proficiency
  • Scheduling requirements consistent with industry standards
  • Physical requirements: able to lift 50lbs.

Preferred: 

  • Experience with Coupa purchasing software; Ability to ski or ride beginner & intermediate terrain

 

The budgeted range starts at $73,000 - $88,950 + annual bonus.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
