The purpose of the Intern Golf Professional is to assist the Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, Merchandise Manager and Assistant Professional in every phase of the total golf operation.

Qualifications:

Should be a P.G.A. Member or registered in the P.G.A. Apprentice program.  Must be willing to learn all aspects of teaching, merchandising, inventory control, handicapping, personnel management, tournament operations, satisfactory playing ability, and the rules of golf.  Must reflect a professional image at all times.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Promote the game of golf.
  • Aid the Golf Professional in every phase of the golf operation.
  • Coordinate the junior golf program.
  • Assist with planning, conducting, and scoring golf tournaments and other golf-related activities.
  • Assist in keeping the Golf Shop neat and clean.
  • Assist with inventory control.
  • Help the merchandise manager with restocking, tagging and displays.
  • Answer phones and book tee times for Members, Guests and special events.
  • Assist with golf club repair.
  • Attend P.G.A. Schools and Education Seminars.
  •  Responsible for all functions of the club’s handicap service.
  • Work closely with the Head Golf Professional, Assistant Professionals, Merchandiser (Golf Shop Buyer),  Golf Shop Staff, Outdoor Operations Staff, Golf Course Superintendent/Maintenance Staff, Rendezvous Club Manager and Chef and Beaver Creek Club Director.
  • Attend golf-related staff meetings.

The expected pay range is $20.00 - $22.76. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
