Job Summary:

Supervises employees in all phases of course maintenance to include mowing, watering, fertilizing and maintaining tees, fairways, greens, roughs and all peripheral golf course areas.        

Manages daily course preparations for both member/guest and tournament play.

Assists in personnel management, evaluation, employee safety, personnel discipline and is often responsible for daily work schedules based on professional interpretation.

Instructs equipment operators on the operation and care of mowing and other equipment; supervises pesticide applications and/or operates and calibrates pesticide application equipment; supervises and participates in the operation/maintenance of irrigation system

Job Responsibilities:

• Serves in the capacity of Assistant Manager in his/her absence
• Assists with quality control oversight
• Assists with employee scheduling
• Assists in safety training and documentation
• Oversight of daily golf course set-up
• Operational training and documentation
• Pesticide/fertilizer application, calibration and handling responsibilities
• Irrigation troubleshooting and repair work
• Employee motivation
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• 2 or 4 yr degree or professional degree equivlant in turf management, plant science or  similar agricultural field of study. Consideration for those working towards a degree.
• Minimum of one seasons/years of golf maintenance experience
• Previous supervisory experience adventagous but not necessary
• Valid drivers license necessary and ability to obtain a CO pesticide applicators license 
• Basic computer operation- Word and Excel preferred.
• English necessary- any Spanish is helpful but not required

The expected pay range is $20.00 - $24.49. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
