Job Summary:

The Service Technician is responsible for providing high-quality maintenance, tuning, and repair services for skis and snowboards. This role ensures that all equipment is safe, functional, and tailored to the guest’s needs, contributing to an exceptional mountain experience.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $20.00/hr 
  • Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2025/2026  
  • Shift Type: Part Time hours available 
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age  
  • Housing Availability: No

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Perform ski and snowboard tuning services including edge sharpening, base grinding, waxing, and binding adjustments.
  • Conduct safety checks and calibrations on ski bindings in accordance with industry standards.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment issues such as core shots, delamination, and broken edges.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tune shop and workstations.
  • Operate tuning machinery (e.g., stone grinders, belt sanders, edge finishers) safely and efficiently.
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining services, recommending maintenance, and answering technical questions.
  • Maintain accurate service records and ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Assist with inventory management of tuning supplies and parts.
  • Follow all safety protocols and resort policies.
  • Maintain and keep current all required certifications related to equipment tuning, binding testing, and safety standards.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience in ski/snowboard tuning or a related mechanical/technical field preferred.
  • Familiarity with tuning equipment and tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capable lifting to 50lbs.

 

The expected pay range is $20.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
