Food & Beverage Support is an experienced BOH employee with a positive work ethic and general leadership qualities, who is career-oriented, creative, and active. Food & Beverage Support understands the importance of standards, speed, and quality. This position strives to clean and maintain the established quality standards. He/She possesses abilities in all applicable cleaning and sanitizing techniques and practices. 

This position will assist in assuring that all kitchen areas are kept clean, neat and well stocked

 

  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assigns cleaning and organizing duties as necessary
  • Cleaning and sanitizing tableware and kitchen equipment
  • Assists in filling requisition, receiving items and properly storing them
  • Able to monitor and record temperature data for dish machine and supplies to keep machine running correctly.  Report any variance to Executive Chef or Sous chef that is out of health department standards.
  • Cleaning kitchens to include; kitchen equipment, vents, floors, drains, walls and bathrooms
  • Washes, and properly racks, all china, glass, silver, pots and culinary utensils
  • Keeps hallways free of obstructions, floors clean/dry and responsible for frequent trash removal
  • Monitor and assist with resort recycling efforts by ensuring all items are properly sorted in a neat and orderly manner
  • Takes responsibility for the product and equipment used and manages it to assure proper care and use.
  • Must practice good personal hygiene and safe food handling skills
  • Monitor and restocking of all soap, sanitizer, and paper towels for handwashing stations.
  • Assist in basic food production.
  • Assists the Chef maintain all par levels of equipment and cleaning supplies for the kitchen
  • Communicates with the front of the house and follows detailed instructions, both oral and written, of the Chef.   Maintains a safe environment in the kitchen and behind the service line
  • Other duties as assigned for the successful operation of the Cabin.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Self-starter with ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Able to stand for up to 8-10 hours at a time
  • Professional appearance
  • Prior food and beverage experience in similar fine dining operation
  • Serve safe certificate or similar credentials - required
  • Good communication skills, including ability to train staff members - required
  • Positive work ethic
  • Team-oriented attitude
  • Able to talk and hear directions in a loud kitchen environment - required
  • Able to work weekends and holidays as necessary - required
  • In person interview - preferred
