Summary of Job: Service staff are responsible for ensuring all guests have the highest quality experience possible. They need to provide outstanding service for our guests through their knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, cocktails, and the food menu combined with an attentive and personable attitude. They need to assist other restaurant staff members with duties such as clearing and cleaning tables, expediting meal orders, returning dishes to the kitchen, and clean guest areas to enhance the guest experience.


Essential Job Responsibilities:


  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude

  • Function effectively as part of a team and take direction from supervisors and co-workers
  • Provide highest level of customer service
  • Full knowledge of menu and beverage offerings after being hired
  • Clearing and cleaning tables and work station
  • Helping with other duties to ensure the best guest experience
  • Perform cashier duties: set up cash drawer, take payment, return correct change, and cash out at the end of shift.
  • Create and maintain a productive and safe work environment, including the completion of all company mandated safety-related training and assessments.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Adhere to all state liquor laws.
  • Adhere to all state health regulations.
  • Serve wine, liquor, and bottled or draft beer responsibly.
  • Intermediate bartending skills.
  • Maintain condiment counter, adding silverware, sauces and napkins to order
  • Entering customer numbers when order is complete
  • Adhere to and role model the company’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Adhere to all policies, rules, and regulations of Vail Resorts and Afton Alps.
  • Other duties, as assigned.


Job Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Professionalism and strong guest service skills, attention to detail and timeliness.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to ensure: teamwork, high level guest contact, and commitment to guest service.
  • Must demonstrate ability to receive and give direction and act upon it.
  • Certified Slip Resistant shoes are required prior starting work. Shoes must be provided by the employee.
  • Flexible schedule required during peak times throughout the year.  Must be willing to work evenings, holidays and weekends – Required
